Chien-Shiung Wu Illustration / Women's History Art Print
This is a print of my illustration of of Chien-Shiung Wu, a Chinese-American experimental physicist also known as the First Lady of Physics and the Queen of Nuclear Research. She made many contributions to nuclear physics including working on the Manhattan Project (helped develop the process for separating uranium metal into isotopes) and conducting the Wu experiment (her results disproved an existing law of nature and in turn changed physics forever). Wu was also the first female instructor at Princeton and the first female president of the American Physical Society.
Using photographs as reference, I illustrated this digitally using Adobe Photoshop and my trusty Wacom drawing tablet. I print it here at my home studio and it currently comes in three print sizes: 5 x 7 inch (12.7 x 17.8 cm), 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm) and 11 x 14 inches (27.9 x 35.6 cm). Every size is on bright white, medium weight paper.
This is the perfect small gift for someone who is into science or a person who just wants a piece of Women's history art to put on their wall.
